The discs still retain the sprung hub that helps to reduce shock loading. These kits are commonly used in vehicles that are used on the road occasionally but mainly focused on track applications.

Note: for vehicles using a conventional external slave cylinder, a release or throw-out bearing is included in kits. For cars using a concentric slave cylinder (CSC), the release bearing is part of the CSC. Changing CSC is recommended when replacing the clutch as it involves removing the gearbox to install.
