This mechanical mild steel 90 degree O2 Oxygen Spacer Exhaust Check Engine Light fix is basically a way to space out the O2 sensor so that it still reads SOME exhaust gasses but it removes the O2 sensor from the direct flow of the gasses as to make the ECU believe there is a restriction in the exhaust gasses such as by a Catalytic Converter.
There is NO GUARANTEE that this product will work on your specific application. There are always mixed results depending upon the layout of the exhaust system and the tuning of the ECU, however, this mechanical O2 fix is well known for minimize the chance of most CEL caused by an O2 Sensor.Remark: This spacer only minimize the chance of CEL. Some vehicles will need their ECU reset if the CEL is triggered before hand.
Features:
- Short Straight Fitting; Works With Any Deep M18-Threaded Oxygen Sensor
- O2 sensor Threads Into 90-Degree Female Bend
- Designed For Spacer Clearance Issue & Converts Into 3 Different Configurations
- Made From Mild Steel For Strength & Durability

Text: Fitted in attempt to fix CEL brought up by high flow cats on my 370z. After installing and clearing the CEL, it kept it away for over 2,000 miles - whereas it usually came on every 80. Unfortunately, this only actually worked for that period, and when the CEL came back on it was a different set of errors still related to oxygen sensors, but they're much more random and come on every 20 miles unless it's a long motorway drive. I can't say for sure if these errors are caused by this product, as I haven't investigated further. Errors that come on now are over/under voltage or circuit range performance, always on bank 1/2 sensor 1. Tried resetting ECU with no improvement, so it could be an external factor (leaks etc.) Given 4 stars as it was effective for a couple thousand miles. |
