Eventuri is a specially designed intake system that applies aerodynamics to British-born tuning cars and delivers high performance. Extensive design iterations through thorough FL5 dyno testing and flow analysis, with the aim of de-restricting the turbo inlet path to maintain low inlet temperatures, enclosing the filter inside the carbon airbox and using stock seals on the hood.
This is an intake system that successfully blocks heat absorption from the engine. Improved intake efficiency has been proven to improve performance by up to 14ps.
Since the intake air is directly behind the radiator, it is important that the filter is not exposed and this was achieved by removing the flexible tubing and optimizing the inlet path with a venturi stack connected directly to the filter. In addition, we added a second inlet to the airbox with a scoop that sucks air from the inner wing area. This equates to nearly doubling the total cross-sectional area the turbo can exit compared to a single entry on the stock system. Carbon airbox enclosures are designed to maximize the use of available volume and isolate all heat sources. The resulting performance improvements and intake aesthetics shine inside the FL5's engine bay.
The standard airbox draws air through a single inlet duct behind the front bumper. The size of this inlet is about 35cm^2 which is very small and the filter location is just behind the radiator and as the engine warms up the filter quickly saturates with heat so just opening the filter in the engine bay is a problem . This intake system solves this problem by keeping the filter closed inside the airbox and adding a secondary feed that opens the intake by another 28cm^2. Combined with a Venturi filter stack, it provides smooth flow and instant gain throughout the 14-20 hour RPM range. The graph above shows a comparison between the stock airbox and the Eventuri intake system on a standard car with standard maps and exhaust.
