Description:

Kameari's Performance/Racing Pulley (Damper) kit for the L6 (240Z*, 260Z**, 280Z, 280ZX) was made to handle higher-revving performance or racing engines. This kit is ideal for high performance applications for race use; while it can be used on street driven cars, it is not recommended (see 10-2701 in Related Items below).

Special Extended Timing Indicator designed specifically for Kameari Dampers

An upgraded Crank Pulley Bolt is required. The factory crank bolt is too short for use with racing dampers (such as this Kameari or the Nismo Competition Damper). The upgraded bolt is machined and treated specifically to be able to properly hold the correct torque setting under high temperature, high stress environments (such as sustained high RPM use). If you don't already have one, see part 10-2167 in Related Items below.

Application Notes:
*Early model Z's (70-74) that still have an alternator with a 14mm pulley shaft will need to upgrade to a later model alternator with a 15mm shaft. For 240Z's we recommend using our 60-amp alternator upgrade kit (12-4068, see Related Items below). **260Z owners please give us a call.

Alternator Pulley Note:
Please measure the outer diameter of the Alternator shaft where the pulley mounts prior to ordering. Alternatively, you can measure the inner diameter of the pulley itself. Some uncommon OEM alternators found on 75-83 models, as well as many aftermarket units, use a 17mm shaft and pulley. If yours measures 17mm, please give us a call to place your order, as we sometimes have these larger pulleys in stock.

Pulley Restrictions:
Since the crankshaft pulley is designed for only one belt, this kit cannot be used with power steering, air conditioning, factory smog pumps, or any other device that requires a second belt.

Electronics Restrictions:
***This kit is not recommended for use with high powered electronics (sound systems, DVD's, etc.) without the use of a high output alternator.

Replacement Belts:
Even reinforced belts are still wear items. The pulleys in this kit are NOT compatible with stock belts. Should you need to replace yours, please give us a call.

Kameari Product Note:
This Kameari product was originally a Special Order item with a 6-8 week timeframe to arrive from Japan (it was incorrectly listed online as taking 3-4 weeks). We were recently able to work out a better deal with them that allowed us to lower our price on all of their products while speeding up the shipping time to us. All Kameari products are still sourced from the manufacturer in Japan.
