 From the reservoir to pump to rack (and cooler if upgraded). ALL Hose and Hose Ends are BMRS aka Brown and Miller Racing. This is the best Hose/Hose Ends in the world, the same components seen on NASCAR and Indy Car. All the Fitting Adapters are designed and manufactured by Chase Bays to be chassis specific for perfect leak free installs.

Our over-engineered Triple-Baffled Power Steering Reservoir (aeration & spillover proof) is at the core of this kit. It optionally comes with upgraded Setrab Oil Cooler that mounts under the driver side headlight (or in center) for additional airflow. Chase Bays only uses highest quality components available. Our reservoir is constructed of 6061 aluminum 7 is anodized black w/ laser etched cap. The reservoir itself uses our own aluminum bracket & 7 can be mounted in the stock location.

Triple Baffled Power Steering Reservoir
Countless hours of research & development were put into our newest Power Steering Reservoir. This isn’t as simple as putting 2 fittings on a fluid container & calling it a day. It's far more complex. The smaller fitting on Reservoir is fluid return from rack. It can be sent back at pressures up to 120psi. When that hits the fluid in reservoir it can cause extreme foaming aeration if not properly slowed down & directed. The more the steering & RPM on the car, higher the pressures will be. This is what commonly causes spillover through caps under heavy use. Most people think their fluid is boiling over when this happens but in most cases it's not

We've put serious engineering time into internal design to negate this aeration & spillover entirely. Performance of this Power Steering Reservoir has rave reviews from our customers. In reservoir photos you can see a "chimney" inside, there's a multi-layer design within this chimney. We can't give away all our secrets, but just know you won't have any aeration or spillover issues. Between on track testing & computer fluid dynamics, we're able to slow down 120psi to 12psi in 2" of fluid motion. Thats just 2 baffles, it doesn’t end there.

Power Steering is a loop hydraulic system so it needs to be vented. The cap has a unique baffle design to block fluid from pushing out the vent. Go to any road race/drift/rally event & look at all factory & aftermarket PS reservoirs. By end of the day there's spillover all around reservoir. It was our goal to be 1 in 100 reservoirs to have no spillover. We're proud to say; that goals met.

Reservoir Mounting
Our clever reservoir mounting brackets makes a few adjustments from stock. The bracket itself works for S13, S14 & S15 chassis unlike stock piece. On S13 the bolt holes used are slightly further back on shock tower (like S14 & S15) but positioning is nearly the same. We pushed reservoir toward engine 1" to allow room for wheel tubs.

If you have top mount setup then it may collide w/ reservoir. On our mockup chassis we have top mount GT2871R SR20DET & it still clears. Use our Install photos as reference.

Hoses & Adapters

High-pressure rack to pump hose is -6AN stainless steel, Teflon PTFE lined, black PVC coated. This coating is crucial, it makes hose resistant to chaffing if it routes against metal or fellow hose, -6AN rack to reservoir -10AN reservoir to pump hoses are abrasion resistant, black nylon sheathed, stainless steel reinforced. They are all completed w/ high end black aluminum AN fittings Metric to AN adapters for rack pump conversion to AN.

We upgrade factory rack connections. They use inner o-ring seal instead of sealing washer or flare seal, so hex will not visibly seat all the way. This is okay as seal happens on bottom of fitting. S chassis racks have deep threads so we make our own custom length adapters & use an o-ring twice thickness from stock one. Rest easy as you'll get to enjoy a leak free power steering setup for years to come.

Setrab Fluid Cooler
Our optional cooler add-on features a black Setrab 10 Row Oil Cooler (11.25" x 3" x 2") all aluminum black coated for durable stealthy finish. Very compact & effective. We’ve seen 20ºF drops in Temp
Applications

DOESN'T WORK WITH HICAS PUMPS WITHOUT MODS. Our kit works on the "front portion" of the power steering pump but the rear/HICAS portion will need the veins removed and the ports blocked off. Most customers switch to KA pumps or non-Hicas RB pumps. Keep in mind just because you're car has HICAS doesn't mean it has a hydraulic HICAS system that runs off the power steering pump; most are electric and won't effect how this kit installs.
